Song Writing Worksheets – Product Details:
This product contains eleven (11) songwriting template worksheets:
- My First Song: use iconic notation to create a body percussion steady beat (available in color and b&w)
- Body Sounds Song: use iconic notation for the big and little beat to create a body percussion rhythm (available in color and b&w)
- Writing in Duple: compose a 4-measure song using paired eighths, quarter notes and rests in duple meter.
- My Triple Meter Song: compose an 8-measure song using beamed eighth notes, dotted quarters and rests in 6/8 triple meter
- Time Signature Songs: let students show mastery of time signatures by creating their own song with two different time signatures
- Musical Form: Use quarters, paired eighths and rests to create a song using ABA, ABB or ABC form.
- BAG Worksheet: practice writing B, A and G on the staff by creating your own ending to Hot Cross Buns
- Rhythm Variation Worksheet: learn about the concept of Theme and Variation by creating your own rhythm variation of Hot Cross Buns
- Note Variation Worksheet: same as above, but with order of notes
